Foundation Established

Anamika Rehabilitation Foundation was established by Subodh Vijay Johare with a vision to ensure equal opportunities, legal awareness, and dignified livelihoods for underserved communities.

2024

Initial Work with Orphans

Started with a cybersecurity & legal awareness session at an orphanage in Chembur, expanding to include educational guidance and vocational skill support for children.

Community Outreach

Expanded into underserved communities by conducting legal awareness sessions in informal settlements, informing people about their legal rights and government welfare schemes.

Visually Impaired Support Begins

Met a visually impaired student at Mankhurd station. Conducted first legal awareness session for 25+ participants and organized World Braille Day with 50+ participants.

2025

Employment & Skill Development

Facilitated work from home opportunities for 20 visually impaired women. Established the first vocational training centre in Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

2026 Onwards

Expansion Beyond Boundaries

Expanding outreach across states, connecting visually impaired graduates with employment assistance, building partnerships and growing community participation nationwide.

Founder

Subodh Vijay Johare established Anamika Rehabilitation Foundation on 2nd April 2024 with a vision of creating meaningful social change. He leads the foundation's work in rehabilitation, education, legal awareness, vocational training, employment support, and community development, while guiding its future initiatives towards greater inclusion and sustainable community development.

Laxmi Vijay Johare is the Co-Founder of Anamika Rehabilitation Foundation. Volunteering with ARF since World Braille Day 2025, Anudnya has contributed to key organizational events including Independence Day programs. She served as Anchor for World Braille Day 2026, managing program flow and audience engagement.

English Teacher Volunteer

Jyoti served as an English teacher conducting online classes for visually impaired and community students across Maharashtra as part of ARF's first pilot project, with participants demonstrating regular attendance and active participation.

World Braille Day 2026 brought together more than 35 visually impaired participants in Nerul for adaptive cricket, singing performances, debate, and marble races.

Independence Day Celebration 2025

Celebrating Independence Day, more than 40 orphan youth came together in Chembur for flag hoisting, fun games, and certificate distribution. The activities included a 7 Wonders of India puzzle, back-to-back speeches, and an exciting balloon game, creating a day filled with joy, participation, and the true spirit of freedom.

Empowered by Education

Our first success story — a visually impaired student met at Mankhurd Railway Station facing challenges without support. ARF facilitated his connection to a safe shelter home, providing continuous educational assistance and mentorship. Today, he is in his final year of studies, confidently moving toward an independent future.

Entrepreneurial Success

A visually impaired student driven by entrepreneurship started by selling Ayurvedic items in local trains. ARF connected him with Tata STRIVE for financial support. With his own effort, he applied for the Government's One Station One Product scheme and was successfully allotted a shop — today managing his own stall with confidence.

Empowering Women Through Employment

ARF connected visually impaired women with Karya App through a meaningful initiative focused on sustainable part-time employment. Through this support, 20 visually impaired women have secured work-from-home roles, enabling them to earn steady income while building confidence and professional experience.
